Founded in 1997 by James Clay, BimmerWorld began as an entrant in BMW club racing and as a small supplier of BMW racing and replacement parts. With a background in engineering it didn't take long for Clay to see the need for well-engineered racing and performance products that were technically superior to those already on the market. The quest for quality has never faded and BimmerWorld today still insists on the highest-performing parts for our own team as well as for our customers.
BimmerWorld operates from a 45,000 sq ft campus in Southwest Virginia, at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. All BimmerWorld operations are carried out in house - our new warehouse, office space, race team shop, dyno, and customer build shop are all located on site. BimmerWorld’s dedication and attention to detail ensures your satisfaction on and off the track. BimmerWorld is actively involved in most major motorsports series in North America (and sometimes beyond). Our professional team competes in GT and Touring Car classes in IMSA and SRO. We've never forgotten our roots and remain the title sponsor of BMW CCA's Club Racing series, as well as a strong involvement in Spec E30 and Spec E46 series. Our staff has built E36 and E46 race cars to compete in Champ Car, Le Mons, and WRL amateur racing. We regularly adivse and consult with series organizers on rules, especially safety standards.
