Driveshaft Flex Disc (Guibo), Febi - E21, E28 528e, E30, E36, Z3 4Cyl Auto

This Flex Disc (or "Guibo"), BMW part # 26111225624 (26 11 1 225 624) is the critical coupling that connects the power from the output of your transmission to the drive shaft to power the rear wheels. It's made of rubber to absorb vibration and harmonic resonance from the driveline as well as offer a small amount of elasticity when applying power. Over time, this flexible coupling sees a lot of abuse and strain, and being made of rubber it breaks down. 

We recommend inspecting this coupling whenever the car is getting service. If there are many visible cracks in the rubber it's likely your Guibo will fail soon. You may also experience noises, clunks or thunks when the Guibo is on the verge of failure. To avoid catastrophe, further damage and ultimately a break down, we suggest replacing your Guibo as preventative maintenance.

However, 4-speed and 5-speed versions may have different flanges. Check your flange for either 3-bolt or 4-bolt.

This part number 26111225624 can be used to replace older / obsolete BMW part numbers 26111207785 (26 11 1 207 785) and 26111204294 (26 11 1 204 294).
