This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 12317526286 and is described as Alternator - Water-Cooled - 180 amp - E65 745i / 760i and E66 745Li / 760Li. Also used on the Alpina B7. This water cooled alternator generator is found on all 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 model 745i, 745Li, 760i, 760Li and Alpina B7 models.
Some of the earlier models (2003 and older) used a smaller amperage alternator that was only rated at 150 amps. The smaller 150 amp alternator was phased out and replaced with the larger 180 amp generator, so you can be assured you are getting the latest / upgraded alternator unit in this scenario.
This part includes a refundable core charge. As of the last update, the core charge on this unit was $211.75. Upon receipt and approval of your rebuildable core, a refund will be issued in the amount of this core charge. Please note the core charge can change at any time.
