Oil Pressure/Temperature Sensor, URO

This sensor provides oil temperature and/or pressure info to the engine computer. The computer uses this data to assess the health of the engine and set cooling and warm-up strategies. A faulty sensor will provide the wrong info or cause the engine computer to revert to a fail safe mode.

This sensor will provide temperature or pressure data, depending on where its installed (engine block, oil filter housing, etc). But the models listed below may have an additional oil sensor in addition to this one.

This part is manufactured by an aftermarket supplier of European auto parts, including many sensors. While not carrying OEM status, this part follows the design of the original very closely and uses similar materials. This aftermarket brand has a two year warranty - the same as Genuine BMW and OEM brands.
