N54 Turbocharger Overhaul Kit, BMW - E9X 335i

Do your N54 turbo overhaul job right! This very comprehensive kit for the 2007-2010 335i and 335xi includes two brand new OE N54 Turbos (made by Mitsubishi, the original supplier to BMW) as well as all of the commonly replaced gaskets and hardware for replacing turbos on any 2007, 2008, 2009, or 2010 model 335i or 335xi.

This full package is specifically for the E90 335i & 335xi sedan, E92 335i & 335xi coupe, and E93 335i convertible models with the N54 twin turbo engine. It also fits the 335is model, which used the N54 engine in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Please note, this is only for Left Hand Drive (LHD) model 335i & 335xi. This kit is for Left Hand Drive (LHD) models only. (RHD models use a different rear turbo than LHD, so please check with us first.)

When replacing the N54 turbos on the 335i and 335xi, there are many parts that must be replaced and some that are simply a good idea to replace. This kit covers both and sits in between a minimalist kit for the ace DIYer and the ultra kit for the DIY or shop that wants a completely fresh install. It should be noted that while replacing turbos can be done with the car on jack stands, "the easiest" procedure (especially on 335xi) is to drop the subframe, suspension, engine, and transmission from below (a lift is essential here). This allows infinite access to the parts. Depending on which procedure you choose, additional parts may be required. See below for links or contact us for advice.

Note for 335xi models: More parts must be removed to access the turbos on Xi AWD models. This may include the axle shaft, subframe, right side engine mount, and steering rack. How much you remove is dependent on your (or your mechanics) abilities and tool chest. All of the parts in this kit are common to the Xi models, however, there may be other parts needed depending on how much more is removed for access. Are you reusing your original oil supply/return lines?
In some cases, the turbocharger oil lines can be reused. Careful inspection is highly recommended. Aging oil lines are a common source of leaks. The oil supply and return lines can also become kinked during the turbocharger removal process. If you suspect that your lines have been bent or damaged, it is wise to replace them preventively. Another reason to replace the N54 oil lines is that the lines can become plugged and restricted by burnt oil residue, causing the turbochargers to overheat and fail.
