The stock M3 tension strut bushings can also be installed on the non-M E90, E92, and E93 models for an upgrade. The non-M bushings are definitely built for economy and comfort. They are filled with a vibration-dampening fluid that tends to leak out over time, rendering the bushing useless. The M3 bushing is all solid rubber. Not only do they last longer but they are stiffer with less deflection. Hence, the M3 bushings give better steering feel and precision during hard cornering.
Price is for the pair. These replace your original tension arm bushings, which need to be pressed out of the stock arm. The new bushings are then pressed in. BMW recommends replacing the control arm completely every third bushing change.
