Rear Trailing Arm Bushing Limiter Set - E36, E46, X3, Z4

These E36/E46/Z4 Rear Trailing Arm Bushing Limiters are urethane spacers that sits on either side of the rear trailing arm bushings (RTAB). This prevents the bushing from twisting and deflecting under load. Large deflection causes the rear alignment (toe) to change and make the back end feel loose and wandering. The alignment change is much worse as the bushings wear and can actually damage the bushing. These bushing limiters restrict the movement of the bushing during cornering but do not affect ride quality or vibration, unlike harder urethane or solid mounts. We strongly recommend these be used with new rubber bushings (see links below). Installation is easy as they just slip in between the bushing and the bushing housing - no need to drill holes or secure with screws.

The 75D urethane hardness of these limiters makes them a great street-performance product and we wouldn't install rubber OEM bushings on our own cars without them. For more serious cars used for autocross or track use we prefer Powerflex urethane RTAB or BimmerWorld spherical RTAB bushings.

Not for use with Powerflex rear trailing arm bushings, which have this design built into the bushing.
