BMW Motorsport X-Brace - E36, Z3

The BMW Motorsport E36 3 Series/Z3 X Brace was initially designed specifically for the rare, and now collectible, M3 Lightweight. Its main purpose was to add chassis rigidity and responsiveness needed for high-performance driving. 

The Motorsport X Brace attaches to the front subframe and connects it to the frame rails behind the control arm bushing brackets. It was such a drastic change in chassis dynamics that BMW later installed the X Brace on E36 3-Series convertibles to combat the inherent chassis flex associated with removing the roof. 

The X Brace works so well that it's become a "no-brainer" installation for any performance-minded E36 or Z3 enthusiast, and the change in chassis and steering responsiveness is immediately noticeable, whether on street or track. The icing on the cake is that it's a Genuine BMW part, so fitment and quality are top notch, and the benefits can be felt with virtually any suspension setup, stock or not.
