Instead of buying just the boot this kit includes the related components too - accordion boot, rubber donut retainer, inner clamp, and outer clamp. The hose clamps are the correct Oetiker style that will not loosen up over time but require a special Oetiker (pinch) clamp tool.

These boots are there to protect the inner ball joint on the tie rod, retain grease for the rack, and prevent outside debris from entering the rack.
