Sunbelt Performance Engines is the leading name in BMW engines for the SPEED World Challenge and Grand Am Cup racecars. The Sunbelt product line for street tuning uses their engineering knowledge and advanced design and testing techniques to create products with superior performance. The Sunbelt Sport Cam which is the foundation for the BimmerWorld OBD II cam kit has been carefully created, Spintron tested for valvetrain smoothness, and dyno tested and refined. Extensive attention to lobe shape allows the engine to rev safely to over 7,400 RPM - with stock pistons and valvetrain, street or track. These cams are designed for useable performance, not peaky Hp in the high RPM range - these cams make 75% of max torque at 2,500 RPM.
Software for this kit has carefully tuned for several different combinations by Active Autowerke. Full dyno graphs from the AA Mustang brand dyno will be posted here shortly, but results have shown 10+ more Hp than similar cars using the most popular competing camshaft set - 312 crank Hp with catalytic converters in place! (21% Mustang-dyno based driveline loss conversion)

This kit requires the use of an M50 intake plenum/manifold. This part is stock on 1992-1995 325 and 525 cars, as well as 1995 M3s. It can commonly be found used for $200 or less, or purchased from BimmerWorld.
