The long awaited BimmerWorld OBD II cam kit, utilizing Sunbelt cams is finally available. This is the first complete kit to consistently hit the 300Hp mark - and then some!

Sunbelt Performance Engines is the leading name in BMW engines for the SPEED World Challenge and Grand Am Cup racecars. The Sunbelt product line for street tuning uses their engineering knowledge and advanced design and testing techniques to create products with superior performance. The Sunbelt Sport Cam which is the foundation for the BimmerWorld OBD II cam kit has been carefully created, Spintron tested for valvetrain smoothness, and dyno tested and refined. Extensive attention to lobe shape allows the engine to rev safely to over 7,400 RPM - with stock pistons and valvetrain, street or track.  These cams are designed for useable performance, not peaky Hp in the high RPM range - these cams make 75% of max torque at 2,500 RPM.

Software for this kit has carefully tuned for several different combinations by Active Autowerke. Full dyno graphs from the AA Mustang brand dyno will be posted here shortly, but results have shown 10+ more Hp than similar cars using the most popular competing camshaft set - 312 crank Hp with catalytic converters in place! (21% Mustang-dyno based driveline loss conversion)

Since many customers already have performance parts on their car, we are offering this kit in several packages. If your needs aren't met with an existing package, let us know and we will put together the parts you need to upgrade your specific car. Other kit components include:

  • Conforti 3.5" Cold Air Intake - featuring a foam ITG filter element is included, clean factory appearance, includes adaptor - 3.5" intake required

  • 24# Fuel Injectors

  • 3.5" Mass Air Meter/HFM - Specially calibrated Bosch piece, not BMW 540 or Euro

  • M50 Intake Plenum Adaptor Kit - CNC-machined IAC adaptor, gaskets, and throttle body plate with instructions - plenum available separately

  • Fan Delete - Lower temperature fan switch and fan nut to remove factory mechanical fan

  • ASC Delete - Removes restrictive traction control throttle body for improved intake flow

This kit requires the use of an M50 intake plenum/manifold. This part is stock on 1992-1995 325 and 525 cars, as well as 1995 M3s. It can commonly be found used for $200 or less, or purchased from BimmerWorld.
