SPEED Touring Car BMW team BimmerWorld announced today the launch of their new “BimmerWorld TV” web racing video channel. The BimmerWorld TV Channel, aimed at racing and BMW fans, looks to deliver high quality and innovative in-car videos to keep up with the demands for increased fan interaction and marketing programs.

BimmerWorld owner James Clay was excited about the launch of the new BimmerWorld TV Channel. “We’ve been working on this for some time—it’s a perfect place for fans of our team, BMW fans, and car fans from everywhere to enjoy the web videos we produce, and maybe learn a little bit while they’re there!”

Clay has also kept an eye on where the growth of fan interest has developed over the past few years. “Racing fans, especially World Challenge fans, want something more to enhance their racing interests between events. We’ll be adding new videos before the season kicks off, after each race with multiple views from my car, Seth Thomas’ car, and footage from our new teammate, Nick Esayian. Each World Challenge broadcast is an hour long, and we hope to enhance each Touring Car broadcast with another solid block of viewing time once each SPEED TC race has aired.”

To kick off the new BimmerWorld TV Channel, select racing videos from 2007 have been uploaded and produced. “We kicked off doing web videos last year, and as everyone will see, we had a great time creating some really exciting content. From my ‘Helmet-Cam’ in the downpour at Road Atlanta, to Joey Hand’s win at Mid-Ohio, to Seth’s wicked battle into the top-10 at Mosport, to my ‘short lived’ race at Laguna, we have almost two hours of content right now for people to view. I’ll go ahead and apologize in advance to all of the productivity losses employers will suffer while their employees visit the BimmerWorld TV Channel…” joked Clay.

An additional feature of the BimmerWorld TV Channel is the ability for viewers to add the video player to their own sites. “Beyond the video quality being far superior to other popular web video sites, people can grab the HTML code to embed the BimmerWorld TV Channel on their own personal websites, or on their MySpace or FaceBook pages. As we add videos, the channel is automatically updated. It’s pretty straightforward.”
