Your lug nuts weren't designed or intended to be used for installing wheel studs. Using lug nuts as the driving force to get the stud into the hub will very likely cause damage. A better solution for the installation process is to use our hex nuts that lock on the stud when tightened together. These cause much less strain on the threads of the wheel stud, and they eliminate any potential damage to the lug nuts. Our Wheel Stud Install Nuts are ideal for wheel studs with allen key ends, which are intended for initial installation, not tightening.
