BimmerWorld Billet Hex Pedals - Auto Transmission (2 Piece), Black 2-Tone

New Design for BMW's latest, most modern vehicles! We've taken our years of pedal experience, and created a new design that's styled to look amazing and offer better grip and “shoe feel” than the standard BMW pedal covers. These were designed specifically for the ZF 8 Speed Automatic equipped models. Many other pedals (including our original "Race Pedals") were very manual-transmission minded. This is a new age of automatics, and your brake and throttle pedals should reflect that!

Our new “Hex Design” pedals play off some of the subtle (and not so subtle) hexagon design elements you may notice on both the exterior and interior of your BMW. Whether it's the front face of the center radio / entertainment controls, the shape of the HVAC air vents, or the plastic mesh grid on your M Sport option front bumper, the hexagon (and partial hexagon) motif is in so many places on the G chassis BMWs.   

While there's lots of different pedals on the market, it was important that ours really look the best and play off this existing motif. Also, we know many of these cars come with the “M Sport” style pedals from the factory. Those are interesting, but also a little irregular (and some think maybe even weird). Whether you like them or not, we wanted to make sure ours looked better the best factory pedals, and add premium material (versus thin black plastic). While looks are 100% subjective, we think we did pretty good. They're certainly eye grabbing and NOT boring! 

Precision Machined from Solid Aluminum Billet  
Our Hex pedals are machined right here in the USA using ultra-precise high-speed CNC machining. Starting from solid blocks of aircraft grade aluminum, every edge is machined crisp and perfect. The edge profiles are tailored to grip the bottoms of your shoes where we want them, but reduce edge friction where you don't need the grip. This gives a visual consistency, but also enhances grip on the Brake pedal. Each internal hexagon you see creates a pointed grip edge to reduce slip. It takes precise manufacturing to achieve this, and no figurative corners are cut to achieve the end results.   

New, Two-Tone Machined Finish 
With the popularity of our original BimmerWorld Racing pedals in the black coated finish, we wanted to go one step further. This new two-tone black and silver is achieved by anodizing the entire pedal (all surface, front and back) and then machining the edge face off. The end result is a spectacular look, but it also helps reduce any visible wear on the black coating. The surface your shoe soles grip and slide don't have black coating, making it very difficult to scratch or mar the finish in a noticeable way.  

Simple, Straight-Forward Install  
Like most pedal sets, our Billet Hex pedals should be drilled and bolted in place for a safe, secure install. On the accelerator pedal, because it's a large block of plastic, we use correctly sized self-tapping screws to affix our aluminum cover to the plastic pedal. Install takes a basic electric drill, some prep and patience, and can generally be installed in under 30 mins, even for a novice. All required hardware in included, with basic instructions to guide you. If you're worried about install, we recommend professional assistance, and any experience DIY or independent mechanic will be able to install these in very little time at all.
