This MagnaFlow exhaust system is only for the 4-door sedan model 335i and 335xi with the N54 engine. The later single turbo cars use a different system, and the 2-door models also have a specific part number.
As with most BMWs, the 335 sounds fairly nice from the factory, but they were designed to have a very subtle tone for the average BMW owner. There's really only a hint of the raw performance available under the twin-turbocharged N54 335i's hood. The MagnaFlow exhaust system addresses that problem by exchanging a very restrictive muffler with a free-flowing performance muffler which offers a moderately aggressive soundtrack for the street. The smooth, deep tone is suitable for mild-mannered street cars driving around town, yet it opens up nicely under wide-open throttle to have you smiling all the way to your 335i sedan's rev limiter.
