The AiM SOLO2 DL has data logging functions that allow you to overlay things like RPM, speed, throttle position, manifold pressure, and more. This cable has open-end wires so it can be tapped to either the OBD plug or the ECU harness.
The OBD plug has limited data available but tapping to the ECU harness can provide many more data streams. Data feeds include* -
- Engine coolant temp (not E46 M3)
- Oil temp
- Throttle position and pedal position
- Intake air temp
- Manifold pressure and flow (from the MAP sensor on turbo models)
- Fuel level
- Individual wheel speeds
- Brake switch
- Gear indicator
- and more!
This cable connects the SOLO2 DL with your car's CAN harness. It's a direct plug-in to the SOLO2 but requires tapping existing wires on the car's OBD socket or ECU harness for CAN High and CAN Low data. Tapping wires is a permanent data source and permits use of the OBD socket for reading OBD codes or programming. A basic install guide is provided but professional installation is recommended.
A RPM-only cable and a OBD plug cable are also available that have less-intrusive and non-permanent installations. The OBD plug is recommended if you are sharing the SOLO2 or using it on multiple vehicles.
* - not all functions may be available on BMW CAN sources. We know all of the items on the list above are available for E46 M3 and E9X M3, except where noted. However, other data listed in AiM documentation may not be available.
Fits with SOLO2 DL only.
