Notice of Emissions and Inspection Non-Compliance

As a professional racing team, we develop, manufacture, and sell parts that are designed solely for use in racing, track, or other off-road uses. These products are offered to the general public but marketed to individuals, shops, and other race teams who share our motorsport hobby and profession and intend on using these part(s) only for off-highway racing or competition use. There are certain products sold on the BimmerWorld website that are designed strictly for race, track, competition, or other off-road uses. These products are typically marketed with labels such as "Race", "Racing", or "Track" and we make every reasonable effort to notify the consumer that these parts are intended for such use. BimmerWorld makes no warranty or guarantee that any part we sell is emissions, safety, or inspection compliant in your state, province, county, or city.

Removing, disabling, or altering emissions equipment on a pollution-controlled road vehicle is against federal and some state laws. Installing devices or software that trick, disable, or modify emissions controls and monitors on a pollution-controlled road vehicle is also illegal. Some products available from BimmerWorld are not legal for sale or use in California on any pollution-controlled motor vehicle and we have stated as such, or with the phrase "not CARB exempt", or similar. Other states or jurisdictions follow or have adopted California (CARB) emissions regulations and our disclaimers for California also apply to these regions.

It is the vehicle owner's responsibility to ensure his/her vehicle(s) conforms to all federal, state, and local regulations, including emissions and safety regulations, if the vehicle is to be used on the roads and highways. We encourage all of our customers to have annual safety and equipment inspections and to proactively maintain their cars in peak operational condition. For dedicated race and track vehicles we strongly advise safety and equipment inspections by qualified and/or experienced race mechanics before and after each event, and to adhere to the tech inspection guidelines issued by your sanctioning body or club.

Please note: BimmerWorld will not sell racing parts for your street car if we have determined those parts, and/or their use, are in violation of federal and/or state laws. It is against the law for us to sell you those parts. It's also against the law for you to use racing parts on the street. BimmerWorld will confirm a customer's racing license, entry, or track participation and reserve the right to cancel part(s) that are not for legitimate racing or track purposes. If you have a legitimate permanently-modified track or race car we are happy to sell you parts and support your efforts. But please do not insist or ask us to break the law.

If you disagree on the regulations or laws governing racing parts contact your Congressperson and urge them to relax the restrictions under the Clean Air Act and better define how a company such as BimmerWorld can legally and effortlessly sell race car parts.
