This square set of BimmerWorld wheels for the F22 228i/230i/M235i/M240i are a direct fit with no fitment hassle or interference issues. All four wheels are 18x8.5" ET38, which is the right size for 225 or 235 tires (245 tires may be too wide depending on suspension height). These are wider and a lower offset than stock wheels so you don't need spacers! Sizes and offsets have been carefully chosen to give the best fitment within the stock bodywork - no rubbing on fender or suspension*. These are light weight and strong alloy wheels at a great price for the set!
TA5R uses the latest industry technology known as flow-forging or flow-forming. The process is similar to casting but with a stronger roll-forged barrel and a tighter grain structure that makes the wheel stronger. The superior process far surpasses older manufacturing that use a straight casting process. Our TA5R 18" wheels have a load rating of 720kg (1,587lbs), which is higher than other so-called track wheels. Flow-forming and precise machining also produce a lighter wheel - our 18" sizes come in at 18.66lbs. The TA5R has been fatigue and impact tested using SAE, JWL, and VIA standards.
The wide-V-spoke design stretches all the way to the outer lip, a key component to the TA5R's strength. They also allow tremendous caliper clearance behind the spokes. 18" sizes clear Brembo F40, StopTech ST40, and PFC 332mm, 355mm, and some 380mm 4-piston brake kits.
Thanks to its lightweight, reinforced barrel and robust face design, the TA5R stands up well against the rigors of endurance racing, as well as your average street potholes. The 18" TA5R features a load rating of 1,587lbs.
