The BimmerWorld TA forged wheel line utilizes the most advanced wheel design and manufacturing techniques available in the world. There are only a handful of wheel suppliers able to manufacture with an astonishing 10,000 ton press starting with T6061 aluminum. Our wheels are then shot-peened and heat-treated. This produces a wheel that is extremely strong and resilient. Additional machining and innovation is done to optimize weight without subtracting strength. Our wheels undergo FEA analysis, testing under VIA, JWL, and SAE standards, and real-world abuse both on and off the track.
The TA55 wheel employs a visually striking “5 by 5” star-spoke design. It's a slim 5-spoke overlaid another broader 5-spoke design. To reach the extremely low offsets of the G8X the wheel center has a pronounced concave inset with dramatically curved spokes. Additional material has been added to the inner rim lip to enhance rigidity for use with super low profile tires and the thrashing typical of pounding curbs on a racetrack, or daily street obstacles.
Fitment Note: this is a square wheel set designed for track use. 19x11.0 is a common track fitment for G8X models but that does not mean they are a direct bolt-on or will not have rubbing or contact issues with bodywork, brakes, or suspension. With our 10mm spacers the effective offset is ET8. Many variables must be considered for track wheel fitment. These variables include: suspension type and settings, ride height, tire size, bodywork changes, and alignment settings. In some cases, additional parts or modifications may be necessary for fitment that may not be listed in our catalog. Final wheel fitment and clearance is the responsibility of the customer, however, we welcome your questions on fitment, size, offset, or other wheel-related inquiries. Wheel returns are limited to quality issues only.
Spacer Note: these wheels may only be used with BimmerWorld 2-piece 10mm spacers. Other brands of 2-piece spacers may also be compatible (we encourage you to inquire). “2-piece” refers to a flat spacer designed only to work with a separate hub-centric lip extension. These are not compatible with 1-piece 10mm spacers or spacers that don't have a hubcentric lip. Our spacers and extended wheel bolts are included. Wheel studs & nuts can be substituted (inquire).
