A roll bar is the safest and best way to mount harnesses in your G87 M2 Coupe track car and provide additional safety during a roll over. The right combination of safety equipment will produce the best and safest results. A roll bar offers additional safety when used properly with harnesses. This roll bar is specifically made for the 2023 and up M2 Coupe, which is the G87 chassis/platform.

As an alternative to a full weld-in cage, this 4-point rollover bar system, combined with harnesses, increase driver safety drastically.
If you're running with a HANS device, harnesses should be routed straight back from the seat to a roll/harness bar. Running harnesses down to the rear seat belt anchors is not the preferred installation. Wrapping the harness ends around the bar keeps the harness squared on your shoulders.
In addition, most seats are not tested or approved for downward harness installations. The seatback may not be strong enough for the types of loads coming from your body strapped in by a harness. The harness bar gives you a better angle if you choose to mount the harness at a downward angle. Or wrap the harness around the bar.

Superior, Minimally Invasive Design
This bolt-in roll bar/harness bar is the best we have seen for the G87 coupe. It attaches to the chassis at four points - rear seat bulkhead support (same location as GT4 main hoop) and reinforced area in the rear shock tower. The bars are TIG-welded, 1.75" DOM tubing with Chromoly interlocking tubes and high grade hardware. Base plates are 1/4" thick high tensile steel. This bar fits with or without a headliner and fits with the stock or racing seats.
Reversible Install
As bolt-in and reversible as you can get with minimal modification required. Only one mounting point requires drilling, and this location is fully contained inside the car so there is no drilling through to the exterior of the car. A small rear seat carpet cut can be made, or carpet removed all together, to allow it to seat around the main hoop of the roll bar. Should you decide to revert your car back to stock, these rear seat/carpet modifications will not be visible once the stock components are reinstalled.
High Angle for Added Storage
The Angle of this roll bar puts the rear crossbar far enough off the floor that you have room for storage underneath. You'll easily be able to store tires in the car, which is very convenient on a dual purpose car. Other roll bars on the market it block up the pass through area, which is crucial for having the maximum space available to haul your tools and things to the track.
