The Schroth Clubman 2x2 6-Point Harness is an entry-level harness system designed specifically for budget-minded racers using a HANS or FHR (Frontal Head Restraint) device. But because it's made by Schroth, you're guaranteed top notch safety despite the wallet-friendly price.

The Clubman is one of the least expensive harness systems available that still incorporates SFI 16.1 and FIA approval ratings. There's no shortage of effectiveness with the Clubman harness, but it uses less efficient adjusters and only comes in one configuration as a way to keep cost to a minimum. This harness is also a bit heavier than the Schroth Profi and Flexi harnesses, but it gets the job done so you can get out there and race with the piece of mind that you're protected in a Schroth harness.

The Clubman 2x2 features a 2" lap belt, T-bar sub strap, and 2" shoulder belts that make it compatible with HANS and other FHR (Frontal Head Restraint) devices. All belts have permanently sewn snap-in ends. The shoulder belts on the HANS-specific Clubman 2x2 are designed to make HANS use safer and more comfortable with optimal fitment on the HANS yoke. This gives you the safest force distribution, and while a standard 3" belt will work, some of the load wouldn't be distributed on the HANS and could cause comfort issues. Another important feature of the HANS-specific shoulder belts is the ability to move the anchor points towards each other, ensuring perfect installation geometry. This helps in the post-impact phase of an accident, which is particularly important in a roll-over situation.

The 2" lap belt is used for increased safety, as it rides within the crest of your pelvis where a 3" belt would rest on the edges. The beneficial placement of the lap belt means that you can make the belt up to an inch and a half tighter. This ensures that it will be doing its job earlier in an accident event because of the quicker loading.

The shoulder belts are a pull-down configuration, while the lap belt is a pull-up.

The Clubman 2x2 series meet the very latest FIA standards for competition harnesses. FIA testing now includes a 70G frontal hit and a 30 degree offset hit. Certification is for 5 years from date of manufacture.
