Front Tension Strut Bushings (FCABs), Meyle HD - E39 540i/M5, E38 740i/750iL

The latest BMW design for front inner bushings for the upper control arm on the 1997-2003 E39 540i/M5 and 1995-2001 E38 740i/740iL/750iL. The upper control arm is also known as the thrust arm or traction strut by BMW. It's the curved arm in the front suspension, not the straight arm (lower wishbone).

This is a high-strength rubber E39 front control arm bushing, modeled after BMW part #31120006482. BMW redesigned this bushing multiple times to address complaints about vibration and poor handling. This bushing design features more aluminum in the center than the previous plastic design (part #31129071085). This does a better job of limiting bushing deflection and helps maintain strength. The Meyle HD design also uses a more solid rubber than OEM.

This E39 FCAB is a Heavy-Duty design from Meyle. Meyle HD parts are designed and engineered in Germany using an OE+ approach.
