Front Right Wishbone, Meyle - E39 540i/M5

The wishbone (aka lower control arm) is key to the great driving characteristics of your BMW. The inner bushing naturally wears prematurely and the outer ball joint will also wear and develop play. When either becomes too worn it will ruin the driving experience and possibly cause a suspension failure. We always recommend checking both inner and outer bushings along with the upper control arm (thrust arm) when diagnosing issues.

This front right lower control arm is specific to the V8 model E39 5 series, which includes the 1997-2003 540i sedan and wagon, as well as the 2000-2003 E39 M5. These V8 models were offered for model years 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003. It replaces BMW part number 31121141962 (31 12 1 141 962).
