This set of rubber bushings replace the inner bushings on both rear lower control arms of 2004-2010 E60 5-series and E63 6-series, 2002-2008 E65 7-series, and 1999-2006 E53 X5. This kit includes a press tool for extracting the old bushings and installing the new bushings.
The stock BMW bushings are not available separately for the rear lower control arms. Until now you have been forced to buy a whole new arm (BMW calls them swing arms) at over $600 each! While OEM bushings are available, this set of HD rubber bushings are slightly firmer and last longer. The Meyle HD bushing is a stiffer rubber compound than the original bushing. This helps improve stability and handling but without hurting ride quality. The bushing is often replaced when the rubber degrades over time or from rough pavement. The bushing can no longer dampen suspension movement and you end up with a vibration and sloppy handling in your car.
This is a set of 4 bushings - 2 for the front of the control arm, 2 for the rear. They should only be replaced in complete sets to preserve ride comfort and predictable handling. This set of bushings is also available without the press tool - click here for link.
This bushing set is a Heavy-Duty design from Meyle. Meyle HD parts are designed and engineered in Germany using an OE+ approach. Meyle engineers use the original design but with several improvements in materials and design to make a bushing that lasts longer and performs better than the stock link. Meyle HD parts are true upgrades that surpass OEM parts but without compromises to noise or ride quality. Meyle HD parts have a four year warranty.
Price is for a set of 4 bushings with extraction tool. Meyle lists this replacement bushing set as compatible with BMW part numbers 33321095261, 33321095262, 33326753107, 33326753108, 33326754557, 33326754558, 33326770743, 33326770744, 33326770769, 33326770770, 33326770831, and 33326770832.
