AC Receiver Drier Canister - Mahle Behr - 64538377330

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 64538377330 (64 53 8 377 330) and is described as Drying Container, made by Mahle Behr. Behr was the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to BMW, and was acquired by Hella, and later acquired by Mahle. It now “bares” the Mahle Behr brand, but is the same trust brand for premium OE quality replacement parts. 

This particular A/C receiver drier unit was used on the air condition system of the E46 3 series, the first generation E83 BMW X3, the first generation E85/E86 Z4 Roadster and Coupe (including MZ4), as well as some of the later production E38 7 Series and E39 5 Series (see fitment note below on 5/7 series). 

If you're doing maintenance or repairs on your BMW's air conditioning system that requires opening the system, replacing the drying canister is a must, and required to ensure proper operation. 

Fitment Notes: 
On the 5 series, only for cars built 3/1998 and newer. This includes E39 5 series for model years 1998 built March 1998 and later, and all 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003. Check your production date on 1999 models. 

On the 7 series, only for cars built 11/1997 and newer. This includes 1998 built November or later, and all 1999, 2000, and 2001 model years. Check your production on 1998 models.
