Genuine BMW Fan Resistor for AC / Aux Electric Fan - 17401373177

This resistor unit is used for the condenser fan of the air conditioning system of many classic BMW models, including E30 3 series and E30 M3, many classic 5 series including E12, E28 and E34, the E24 6 series, and both the E23 and E32 7 series.

Has your electric auxiliary fan stopped working on your classic 3/5/6/7 series? Have you tested the fan itself to be good, but can't figure out why it won't work? This resistor is often completely missed when diagnosing why your aux fan or AC is no longer working. When the fan's resistor pack unit has failed, it will no longer supply the correct voltage to your electric aux fan. 

This is a common problem on some of these classic BMWs with aging air conditioning and wiring systems. When your fan resistor has failed, you will most likely get no voltage or intermittent voltage, causing the fan to simply not work, despite other components such as relays and fuses being in order.
