Seat Belt Receptacle - Left Front - E46 2000-2006, E63/E64 2004-2007

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 72119119551 (72 11 9 119 551) and is described as Genuine BMW Seat Belt Receptacle, Left Front (drivers side seat on US cars), for E46 3 series (2000 to 2006 model years), and E63/E64 6 Series (2004-2007). 

This item must be shipped UPS Ground due to hazmat shipping limitations. Air service is not available for this item. 

This seat belt receptacle is known to cause problems, as it can cause fault SRS system codes that trigger an airbag light. They can also suffer mechanical problems that keep the latch mechanism from working correctly. The other common failure is that in an accident, the automatic belt retractor mechanism is fired, cinching the driver's seat belt with a pyrotechnic blast, making the seat belt latch unusable. 

If your E46 3 series sedan, coupe, convertible or wagon for the model year 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 (and 2006 coupe/convertible) OR E64/E64 6 Series for the model year 2004, 2005, 2006 or 2007 needs a new driver's side seat belt latch, this is best replacement option available. A new Genuine BMW latch is the only acceptable replacement we recommend, due to the safety and electronic nature of the part. 

This is the front left side, which is the driver's side on LHD / US spec cars. 


Not for 3 Series before the 2000 model year. 
Not for 6 series after the 2007 model year.
