Aluminum alternative to the factory OEM plastic oil pan on many 2012-2022 ZF 8-speed transmissions. Unlike the original, this oil pan has a replaceable and serviceable filter - meaning future oil changes and service will be less expensive than the full OEM pan and filter kit.

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 24118612901 (24 11 8 612 901) and is described as Automatic Transmission Oil Pan and Filter Service Kit used in ZF 8-speed GA8HP45, GA8HP51, and GA8HP70 automatic transmissions.

Only for cars with the 8-speed automatic transmission. Some BMWs on the fitment list (2012 and prior) came with the earlier ZF 6-speed auto, which requires a different kit. 

This transmission filter / pan / hardware kit is specifically for the ZF 8 speed automatic found in many modern BMWs. This transmission is known as the ZF GA8HP and comes in several variants which this oil pan and filter work with. There is no additional capacity to this aluminum oil pan. It has the same capacity as the original ZF pan. The height (depth) of the pan is also the same.
