Center Console / Radio Mounting Bracket - E46

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 51167001410 (51-16-7-001-410) and is described as Center Console and Radio Mounting Bracket for E46 3 Series (the 1999 to 2006 generation).

Converting to aftermarket touch-screen navigation radio systems is a popular upgrade right now. For E46 models that came with the non-nav "Single DIN" sized radio who want to upgrade to a larger screen-based Double DIN radio, this console panel is often used for relocating the HVAC controls as well as the buttons in front of the shifter (such as DSC, seat heater switches, convertible top, etc.) 

This console unit has one long open along top of the ash tray compartment. If your E46 has the "multi button" panel in front of the shifter that holds multiple buttons in one long strip, this console lets you snap that button strip in place. 

Please note: If your E46 only has a single button (the DSC button), it's most likely a single button (and not part of a long switch strip) and you'll want a different console for relocation.
