The common failure of these fan clutches is they will eventually stop engaging, and leave your engine overheating while parked or in stop-and-go traffic. Replacing a failing or failed fan clutch will allow the engine fan to do its job once again, and can avoid costly overheating related repair bills.
This is an OEM fan clutch manufactured by an original supplier to BMW for many other cooling components.
