The original Fit Bolt in your front strut has a thick shoulder at the top end that dictates the shock's position.  

The BMW Camber Correction Bolt does not have this shoulder, and allows enough movement to adjust your camber plus or minus approximately 0.5 degrees.  The original washer and nut can be reused, since the bolt diameter and thread pitch is the same as original.
