Alcantara has been used as an upgrade, or alternative, over the standard leather trim in Competition and Performance Package BMW models. It has its roots in motorsports and racing. The suede-like material provides a grippier surface than leather, especially while wearing driving gloves. This is the Genuine BMW Performance parking brake handle and boot. It's the perfect complementary item to go with the BMW Performance aluminum shift knob or alcantara shift boot. This is a direct replacement item and includes the plastic base frame for easy and precise installation (LHD models only).
