BimmerWorld Carbon Fiber Dashboard - E9X Sedan/Coupe

A carbon fiber dash is the perfect complement to your race car build. When reinstalling the interior after the roll cage is finished, we used to dread putting the stock dashboard back in. It's bulky and heavy and is not easily modified to fit around the cage. And then additional custom panels are required to mount the switches and other gear. This full carbon fiber E90/E92 dashboard is the solution.

We were disappointed in other carbon E90 dashboards on the market that just don't look like a BMW. Our E9X race dash is molded straight from the stock dashboard. It's patterned from a car with iDrive to give you an extra area to mount gauges or a display. The trim lines and even the slot for the key fob and start button are reproduced. Although one piece, and weighing only 5lbs, this dash is almost good enough to put back into a street car! The top of the dash is textured like the factory to reduce glare on the windshield, a feature you won't find on other carbon dash kits.

BimmerWorld race carbon parts are designed first and foremost to be functional by reducing weight and lowering lap times. If the "carbon look" is what you're after, there is no shortage of cheaper carbon-wrapped fiberglass or reinforced plastic pieces on the market. We had to look elsewhere for our motorsport carbon products because what was out there was too heavy or not rigid enough for real world competition use. If it didn't directly make our own cars faster, we were not interested. Our carbon pieces are Made in the USA by a composites manufacturer with years of top-level motorsports expertise.

This is a racing part for motorsport use and certain attributes normally found in street parts have been eliminated. For finishing, we recommend vinyl wrap or clearcoat paint with additional surface prep. Dash will be supplied with a carbon panel for the instrument cluster area (shown already cut for our racing dash display).

BimmerWorld race carbon parts are designed solely to improve performance. Surface finish and appearance are not priorities in our racing parts. Carbon may be unfinished or sometimes with a minimal clearcoat (for UV protection). You will not find high gloss finishes here for style points. If your priorities are a show car shine there is no shortage of cheaper carbon-wrapped fiberglass or plastic pieces on the market. These are usually loaded with fiberglass, filler, resin, and many clearcoat layers that make them too heavy or not rigid enough for real world competition use. If you wish to apply a finish we suggest vinyl wrap or a light filler skim coat and then paint. In any case, professional prep and installation are strongly advised.
