It should be a crime to drill holes in the middle of the front bumper cover on a BMW. But that's just what BMW does to mount the front license plate. It's unthinkable, especially on the aggressive styling of the M Sport equipped 2016-2018 F30 3-series Sedan or 2016-2018 F31 3-series touring wagon. Most BMW owners agree that a BMW looks much better without an ugly font license plate. Unfortunately many states strictly enforce front plate laws, so completely deleting the front plate isn't an option for everyone.

For 2016-2018 3 Series Sedan/Wagon Models WITH M-Sport front bumper AND PDC. This kit is made very specifically for the optional M Sport front bumper and Front Park Distance Control (PDC) for 2016, 2017, and 2018 model years. These years are known as the faceflift or LCI, and if you have both M Sport and Front PDC on these years, this is the kit you will want. The M Sport front bumper came on M Sport Package models, including 330i Sedan, 330i xDrive Sedan, 340i Sedan, 340i xDrive Sedan, and 330e ActiveHybrid3 Sedan. It also includes the 2016-2018 328d xDrive Touring Wagon and 330i xDrive Touring Wagon. Not for cars before the 2016 model year.

This slick relocation kit allows you to use the factory tow hook eye as a mount point, so you can completely "delete" and remove the ugly stock center-mounted bracket. Now your BMW can look better, while still complying with local front plate laws.

We found this kit to be an easy, cost-effective, and well made solution for mounting your front license plate in the tow hook receiver of the M Sport Package 2016-2018 3-series Sedan (F30) and Sport Wagon (F31). No modifications are required, and if you are installing this on a fresh/new front bumper, you can avoid drilling the dreaded holes in your bumper.

Easy Installation - Can be removed in Minutes!
Installation is quite simple, using simple Allen keys (included) and a 17mm wrench (not included). We love that you can also remove this in minutes. This means you could drive (legally) with a front plate to a car show, remove the plate at the show, and reinstall your tow hook plate bracket for a legal drive home. And still no holes needed in your bumper!

Adjustable for Many Angles & Positions
The bracket offers multiple adjustable mounting positions, which gives you some aesthetic options if you are picky on how the plate is positioned. You can also move your plate further away from headlights or fog lights, or adjust the angle to more close mimic the body contour of your front bumper.

Works With Front Park Distance Control
As long as your 3 Series sedan/wagon has the M-Sport front bumper and is a 2016-2018 model, this relocation kit will work with the factory Park Distance Control (PDC) system. This kit includes an extension that helps position the license plate far enough from the PDC sensors, so it does not set off the proximity sensors or interfere with the PDC system.
