Special Fitment Note: This bumper is designed to use the aluminum bumper carrier, as used on the early model E46 M3 through 11/2001 production. The later E46 M3 models used a carbon Kevlar bumper carrier/support which may require some slight modification to attach the bumper. Most body shops are used to getting creative in this scenario, but the alternative is to purchase or source the early aluminum style bumper carrier off an early 2001 model M3 or non-M E46 model (which share the same carrier part # 51118195300). We find slight modifications and using spoiler adhesive to be the most cost effective solution, but converting to the early or non-M carrier is also an option. At last update, this aluminum carrier was purchasable new from BMW (sell related items below).
