This original BMW hood shock (or hood strut) is for 2-door E36 (not including ti) is an genuine BMW gas shock to replace a tired hood shock that no longer holds up your hood, or prevent it from dropping on your head. You'll find this hood shock on 2 door coupe and convertible body style E36. This includes 1992-1999 3 series 2 door coupe and 1994-1999 3 series convertible, such as 318is, 325is, 323is, 328is, E36 M3 (2 door), 318ic, 325ic, 323ic, 328ic, and E36 M3 convertible. 

Sold individually. Each E36 requires 2 per hood, so be sure to buy two and do the job right. Each hood shock can be used on either the left side or right side of the hood. 

NOT for "ti" compact models.
