Hood Shock, URO - E30 Coupe Sedan Convertible (1984-1993)

This E30 hood shock is an aaftermarket gas shock to replace the tired shock that no longer holds up your hood, or prevent it from dropping on your head. It's pressure calibrated for the specific weight of an E30 hood, so that it provides the factory designed amount of assist when opening and closing your E30 hood. This part is also known as a hood strut, and acts to both reduce the weight of the hood when opening, as well as dampen the force when closing your E30's hood. 

If your E30's hood is not staying open, requiring an extra hand to hold it up, or it's slamming shut with much too much force, it's probably time for a new hood shock to correct the issue. 

This hood shock fits all E30 models, as offered in the model years 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990 and 1991. It was also used on 1992 and 1993 convertible models.
