Is your hood not staying up on its own? You you have to hold the up with one hand, or else get bonked in the head? This is not only inconvenient, it can make it almost impossible to do the most simple tasks.
The reason the hood stops holding itself up is due to the one (or both) of the gas pressurized hood shocks leaking, and no longer supporting their portion of the weight of the hood. With a fresh pair of hood shocks (also called hood struts) your hood will stay up as designed. These are quite simple to change, and we carry a high quality aftermarket brand that is very affordable, especially when priced against the Genuine BMW E36 hood shocks.
Fits 2 Door Coupe/Convertible only. Not for "ti" hatchback. These are sold individually, and each car is equipped with 2. Be sure to order two if you are replacing both hood shocks.
