This is an aftermarket carbon fiber replica of the M Performance tall rear wing for G87 M2 (BMW part number 51625A63C65). This is the rear wing, reminiscent of the E30 M3 wing, introduced on the M2 concept car. It replaces any other wing or spoiler on the M2 trunk (any existing spoiler must be removed).
Dry carbon is the highest-quality version of carbon fiber products that are produced. Dry carbon fiber's name comes from its manufacturing process. Dry carbon fiber is formed using a "pre-preg" or impregnated piece of carbon materials. This piece of carbon is first placed into a mold and then into a sealed vacuum (autoclave) to properly cure. This method creates the least amount of waste and forms a lighter version of carbon than the "wet" method. The autoclave vacuuming process of making dry carbon means fewer pinholes and virtually no air pockets in the carbon.
Installation requires new holes to be drilled in the existing trunklid. Hardware is included. Professional installation is required.
