The HPS 5.0 compound is a revision of their previous HPS pad and offers a higher coefficient of friction than your stock brake pads, and while BMW stock pads actually have good stopping power, HPS can provide 20-40% more stopping power and higher resistance to brake fade than most standard replacement pads.
