1-piece rotor. This rotor is a single-piece cast iron rotor. The factory BMW rotor is a 2-piece iron disc with an aluminum hub. BMW advertised the lighter weight as a way of lowering emissions and improving fuel economy. There is likely no performance difference between them but these will be slightly heavier compared to stock. We also offer the OEM rotors if you wish to keep the lighter two-piece design.

Our Aftermarket brake rotors are a direct replacement for the Genuine or OEM rotors for your car - but at substantial savings without a loss in quality. If you don't need a Made in Germany stamp, TUV approval, anti-rust coating, or high carbon content you can get a brake rotor that is more affordable, guaranteed to fit, and has a two year warranty against defects.
Most applications have a rust-preventative coating that is a barrier against corrosion and rust. It may be a plain grey phosphate coating, GEOMET, or a black e-coating depending on the availability and manufacturer preference. These coatings are not permanent but will reduce rust and corrosion for a long lasting, clean appearance.
Note for track use: Aftermarket rotors typically have a lower carbon content than Genuine BMW or our OEM rotors. High Carbon rotors are preferred - but generally not required - for track use because of their improved thermal management and durability. We've run Aftermarket brands on our own race and track cars with no issues but every situation is different and there may be noticeable effects switching from one to the other.
