Our Carbon Fiber Brake Cooling Plates for E82 128i/135i and E90/E92 325i/328i/330i/335i keep your brakes cool under pressure, effectively preventing boiling fluid and pedal fade. These cooling plates drastically reduce pad and rotor wear and occurrence of pad deposits or rotor warpage. Originally built for our IMSA/Grand-Am racing program, these brake backing plates are professional race-quality parts that bolt directly to your front hub assembly. Carbon fiber is really the best material for these as it's light weight and will not conduct or retain heat like sheetmetal or aluminum plates. Use with any commonly available 3.0" cooling hose.
To give the best airflow, and to be as inclusive as possible, these backing plates are supplied oversize and without cutouts for brake calipers. This requires trimming to fit with the caliper and some high-offset rotors. Trimming will keep the backing plate close to the rotor which helps retain cooling airflow instead of spilling over the sides. Standard high-speed abrasive fiber metal cutting tools are acceptable for trimming. Please use proper eye, skin, and lung protection when cutting carbon fiber components.
