Hawk's HPS 5.0 Street Brake Pads are highly regarded for their ability to increase the stopping power of your street car. Hawk's exclusive Ferro-Carbon formula was developed specifically for good street performance by utilizing the safety and quality of aerospace and motorsport severe-duty friction technology.
The HPS 5.0 compound is a revision of their previous HPS pad and offers a higher coefficient of friction than your stock brake pads, and while BMW stock pads actually have good stopping power, HPS can provide 20-40% more stopping power and higher resistance to brake fade than most standard replacement pads. Less fade means you'll have a highly durable brake pad with less brake dust than the heavy-dusting stock BMW pads.
HPS 5.0 rear brake pads should be combined with a similar brake pad on the front. Mixing front and rear brake compounds may result in undesired brake balance.
