Parking Brake Actuator, TRW - F10 F06 F12 F13 F25 F26 E89

This is parking brake actuator is made by TRW, the OEM supplier for BMW, and fits either the rear left or rear right on the F10 5-series (2011-2016), the F06/F12/F13 6-series (2011-2018), the second generation F25 chassis BMW X3 (2011-2017), the first generation F26 chassis BMW X4 (2012-2018), as well as the E89 Z4 Roadster (2009-2016).

The parking brake on these cars is electric, controlled by a motorized servo / actuator. If the parking brake actuator fails, you can expect a parking brake malfunction, either visibly through the electronic warnings on your BMW, or a parking brake that simply no longer safely holds the vehicle while parked or in neutral. 

The Original Genuine BMW replacement for this piece is VERY expensive, and since there are two per car -- each sold individually -- replacing one or both is a very costly endeavor, even before the labor time.
