Pagid RSC brake pads are specially formulated for carbon-ceramic discs and are an upgrade for F8X M3/M4 CCB. The RSC pads are a more track-oriented compound than the stock F8X carbon pads with greater capacity to manage heat. They are a slightly higher friction coefficient with better stopping power. The RSC1 compound is a low metallic resin-bonded material containing steel and composite aramid fibers. This compound features good all-round characteristics, making it suitable for light track or occasional fast-road use. We think of it as a "+1" pad upgrade over the factory CCB pads - improved braking performance and consistency at the track and still usable for some street use*.

Unlike the OEM carbon-ceramic pads the RSC1 will not glaze over and "smear" the pad compound to the rotor surface. They have more stable friction output over a greater temperature range and better modulation at high temps. Note that operating within a higher temp zone will degrade carbon discs faster. If long-term track use is planned we advise switching to our iron brake conversion (click here).
Pagid RSC1 Characteristics + medium friction level + excellent fade resistance + stable temperature range + low wear on carbon discs + moderate bite and easy modulation
Front and rear brake compounds should be closely matched to maintain brake balance. Never upgrade one axle and not the other.
* The RSC1 is considered a medium friction compound, not as aggressive as RSC2 or RSC3, and is compatible with new or used carbon rotors. The new pads must be bedded with the rotors upon initial installation. You can swap back to your factory CCB pads at any time. Expect higher levels of noise and dust when used on the street.
