The Posi-Quiet pads feature a non-aggressive semi-metallic compound that virtually eliminates pad squeal and other annoying brake noise. The original M2 Competition pads are aggressive to match the outstanding performance of the car. The Posi-Quiet pads take a different approach - trading performance for quietness and low dust. You can expect less bite and stopping performance with these pads but that's the trade-off for having a more user-friendly brake pad.
Centric is the parent company of the Stoptech and Power Slot brands. The Posi-Quiet is one of their many brake pad formulas. It features a semi-metallic pad compound that has excellent wear, long life, low dust, and low noise. Centric Parts has added a scorching process to all of its Posi-Quiet brake pads. This additional process forces any impurities out of the friction material and pre-burnishes the pads to greatly accelerate the break-in process.
