DFC Active Performance brake pads are engineered to meet the demands of the weekend high performance enthusiast, spirited street driver, and light track racing, DFC Active Performance brake pads are an extremely high torque material with an aggressive initial bite and medium-high, linear rising torque curve.

This set of pads is designed to fit the front axle on 1995-1999 E36 M3, 1989-1995 E34 5-Series (525i, 530i, 535i, 540, M5) or 1989-1994 E32 7-Series (735i, 735iL, 740i, 740iL, 750iL, or 1996-2002 Z3 M Coupe/Roadster.

The notion of an "aggressive" brake is misunderstood. Brake pads are formulated for the type of driving you do. DFC Active Performance brake pads are for drivers who brake late, smooth, and hard, even on the street. They require a little bit of heat, but not as much as full track/race pads, to work properly. Once at operating temperature they are quiet and stop better than any OEM pad out there. Brake dust is moderate and well below OEM BMW brake pads.
