The parking brake / e-brake on the E70/E71 chassis X5 and X6 is a fully motorized mechanism, with a push-button electric / electronic engagement. Unfortunately on many X5 and X6 models, this e-brake system can break down over time, leaving your parking brake either unreliable or completely not working. This is potentially dangerous!

This is a complete replacement parking brake actuator, which is the servo motor that engages the cable tightening system that engages and disengages the parking brake. It also includes a new cable system to refresh the entire linkage mechanism. This is the best way to rework and overhaul the parking brake system on the E70 and E71 chassis.
