Rear M Performance Dimpled & Slotted Brake Rotor, Zimmermann - F22, F30, F32 (Small Hat)

This OEM-type dimpled and slotted rotor fits the rear of certain F22 228i/230i, 2012-7/2014 F30 328i, and 2014-7/2015 428i models with the optional M Performance brakes package. M Performance brakes were offered by dealers with red, orange, or yellow Brembo calipers. The front rotor size is 370mm and this is the matching rear rotor for those brakes.

Zimmermann Z-Coat rotors are the same size as stock BMW rotors but include an anti-corrosion phosphate coating that resists rust. Uncoated aftermarket or OEM rotors will quickly rust on the middle hat and inner vanes. Zimmermann Coated rotors are made in Germany and can be found as original equipment on some Mercedes, Porsche, and Volkswagen models.

This rotor is a single-piece cast iron rotor. The factory BMW rotor is a 2-piece iron disc with an aluminum hub. BMW advertised the lighter weight as a way of lowering emissions and improving fuel economy. There is likely no performance difference between them but the Zimmermann will be slightly heavier compared to stock. We also offer the Original BMW rotors if you wish to keep the lighter two-piece design.

328i/428i Rotor Confusion: BMW had multiple rotor options with similar names. This 345mm disc fits the red/orange/yellow M Performance brake option up to a specific production date (328i -7/2014, 428i -7/2015, and no 328iX/428iX models). It is larger than the standard rotors used on other trim levels. This was a dealer-installed accessory and will not show up in a vehicle build sheet from the factory.
