This direct-fit solution is an add-on enhancement to CSF's S54 Swap options, giving you the ability to easily add a race-spec high-performance oil cooler to your CSF 7211 S54-Swap Radiator (sold separately). This is a great solution, especially if you are looking to retain the factory air conditioning system on your E36, or non-M E46 that's receiving a full S54 engine swap. 

For use on S54 swapped cars ONLY. This oil cooler is made specifically to be used with part # 7211, sold separately. 

Even in stock trim, the oil in an S54 engine gets hotter than you might expect. Which means cooling on your S54 swap needs to be both a consideration and a priority. Running an S54 swap hard, such as at the track, for just 10 minutes straight gets the S54's oil and oiling system extremely hot. Even with the best synthetic oils, temps should be kept under 250°F if possible, and never above 300 degrees. Even on a stock E46 M3, the stock oil cooler doesn't get the job done. Fortunately this upgraded oil cooler can help your S54 swap stay cooler in the harshest conditions.

CSF's newly designed high-performance, race-spec oil cooler will keep oil temperatures stable, even in the most demanding endurance racing conditions and extreme ambient temperatures. CSF's oil coolers have been lab tested in an ISO-certified, state-of-the-art cooling system testing facility that includes wind tunnel, vibration, thermal cycle, burst pressure, and salt spray corrosion testing for maximum performance and reliability. Construction and Core: CSF has manufactured the world's most durable and robust S54-swap oil cooler by using an innovate design that features extruded aluminum end tanks rather than fabricated aluminum sheet metal, plus a bar-and-plate oil cooling core. The core uses an ultra-efficient, multi-louvered, high-density fin configuration between high-pressure oil cooling plates to achieve maximum heat transfer performance and oil cooling efficiency. With this type of construction you never have to worry about road debris damaging the core or causing a leak in the oil cooler.

Two-Pass Design: CSF's S54 Swap oil cooler features an efficient top/bottom dual-pass design which is comparable in performance to a counter-flow design (front/back), without the much more costly manufacturing and purchase price.

Mounting: This high-performance oil cooler is made to install easily onto CSF part # 7211 (S54 Swap High-Performance Radiator). No fabrication or additional brackets are required. This is a complete drop-in fitment solution which requires no modifications to install and is compatible with factory air conditioning / AC systems. 

Plumbing: This is a direct-fit oil cooler for use with existing S54 oil cooler lines and hoses. This is specific to S54 swapped cars (E36, and non-M E46 models). The CSF oil cooler is designed to accept the factory S54 oil cooler hoses. Note that some bending/tweaking may be needed when using the stock S54 oil cooler lines. Or, for the BEST fitment (and avoid having to bend your oil cooler lines) we and CSF recommend using the E36 Euro Oil Cooler hard lines, which make for a better fit (see related items below). For a more custom install, you can also use our -10 AN fitting adapter kit and use stand AN style lines.

All CSF high-performance cooling systems come with a two-year warranty against defects in craftsmanship or performance. Each CSF cooling system is individually pressure tested before packaging to ensure maximum reliability. This product is designed to be a bolt-on to the S54 Swap radiator / retrofit, CSF part # 7211.
