Epic Motorsports software tuning for the Z4M S54 consistently provides more gains than any other tune on the market. No other tuner has as much experience building, tuning, and racing the S54 engine than Epic Motorsports and BimmerWorld. It's this depth of experience that allows Epic to extract more power and torque. S54 software is available in three stages - performance street, race, or Alpha-N.
Performance - an "off-the-shelf" tune that produces superior power and torque gains and can be custom-tailored for your preferences. Every file is done based on your stock tune (not a canned file) so you can add options such as Sport Mode Memory, octane preference, custom rev limits, DSC button control, and top speed limiter all in one file. This is a street tune and assumes the factory catalytic converters, EGT, and O2 sensors are in place. Even though the gains are the same between Performance and Race, reliability and durability is not reduced for normal street use.
Software is installed with the Electronic Calibration Interface (ECI), which is included in the price. The ECI is connected to the OBD port in your dash and a Windows laptop. There is nothing to modify or remove and you never have to worry about modifications to the wiring harness. The ECI tool will read and save a copy of your stock software, which is then e-mailed to us for modification. A new tuned version of your original file is returned to you. This is better than off-the-shelf software tunes that never look at your original software. You can continue to drive the car while your tuned file is being processed.
Notice of Emissions Non-Compliance. This software was developed and tuned on vehicles that retained all emissions controls. It is intended for vehicles with stock and fully functional emissions equipment. However, it has not been submitted nor tested for approval in California. Therefore, it is not legal for use in California on any pollution-controlled motor vehicle.
